A blessing in the mail

As I was finishing today’s Bible study and journal, I heard a truck pull up out front. I opened the door to see what was going on, and a UPS man was handing me a package. A friend of ours had asked for our address (since we move so much we don’t have a set one), because they wanted to send me something. Well, today it showed up!

Inside the envelope was the book, “new believer’s Bible, New Testament” by Greg Laurie. You can imagine my excitement at not only getting a book, but receiving one that is relevant to this journey. Through my excitement, I immediately started rifling through it. It is perfect! I will definitely be referring to it more when I get into the New Testament, but it is filled with all sorts of awesome things that can be used right now. I am beyond grateful for this surprise!

Reading Plan

It is stocked full of so many helpful resources. Not only is there a reading plan to follow through the New Testament, there is a “Glossary of Christian Terms” that I will definitely be referring to right now, as I have just been using Google and my husband for help. However, I get amazing insight and information from my reader’s comments too! There’s also”Reading Tracks” that will guide me to specific topics and questions, and how to continue down this journey and the next steps.

I want to say that I am not necessarily a “new believer,” I would just like to be a more disciplined one. I know what I believe and pray all the time, now I’m just trying to get the back story!

I have embarked on this journey to become a better Christian, understand the history and stories of the Bible, and fully dedicate myself to being a better person and living an awesome life.

I am beyond grateful to receive this package today, and can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. Thank you to everyone for your support, gifts, comments, insights, information, videos, etc. They have all been incredibly helpful and encouraging.

I hope this blog has found you somehow and you can start a journey for yourselves; so I can repay my appreciation and the kindness I’ve been shown, and in turn help support you!

You can start at the beginning, or start today. You can always go back and catch up, I’m only starting week 3!
