I have completed the second book of Chronicles today! It was ultimately a summary of everything that was studied on Day 123, 2 Kings 22-25. It was so similar in fact, that there really isn’t anything new to add, as it was almost a complete recap. In a nutshell, today reviewed:
- Josiah’s reign in Judah
- The Book of the Law was found
- Prophesies about disaster
- Josiah and the keeping of the Passover
- Josiah killed in battle
- Judah’s decline
- Jehoahaz’s reign
- Jehoiakim’s reign
- Jehoiachin’s reign
- Zedekiah’s reign
- Jerusalem captured and burned
It ended with the Proclamation of Cyrus, king of Persia, and he said, “The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever is among you of all his people, may the Lord his God be with him. Let him go up.”
