Today was all about preparing the sanctuary. First, the Lord told Moses to have all the people contribute. They offered things such as: gold, silver, and bronze; blue, purple, and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; goats’ hair, tanned rams’ and goats’ skins; acacia wood; oil for lamps; spices for anointing oil and for fragrant incense; onyx stones, and stones for setting the ephod and breastpiece. They were to make a sanctuary where the Lord could dwell in their midst.
The Lord showed them the pattern of the tabernacle, and all of its furniture so they could make it.
They built the Ark of the Covenant, the Table for Bread, the Golden Lampstand, the Tabernacle, the Bronze Alter, and the Court of the Tabernacle all to the Lord’s demands and directions.
